New units offer highly efficient, ENERGY STAR® qualified, critical power protection for the network edge
SOUTHAMPTON, UK [14 September, 2015] – Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR) and the world’s leading provider of critical infrastructure for information and communications technology systems, today announced the availability of the Liebert® GXT4 product range throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa. This online, double conversion rack-tower Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) delivers high-quality power protection and maximum availability to support mission-critical applications at the edge of IT infrastructures and for small to medium businesses across a range of industries such as financial services, healthcare, retail and distribution hubs.
As the next generation of Emerson Network Power’s Liebert GXT3 product family, the Liebert GXT4 range offers 700 VA to 10 kVA models at 230 V. The flexible rack-tower configuration and compact design of theUPS systems enable easier and faster installation and deployment, while also allowing businesses to respond quickly to the changing requirements of the IT industry. The ENERGY STAR® qualified unit delivers resilient and efficient power protection, ensuring that a critical load is always supported by a continuous flow of high-quality power. Additionally, the advanced ECO mode feature available on all models maximizes the units’ energy efficiency levels, further reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) and improving overall power usage effectiveness (PUE).
All 700 VA – 3000 VA units include two pairs of individually configurable power socket systems. These allow IT managers to program and control various settings, including load shedding, which prioritises the most critical applications to allow a tailored load protection, maximising availability and efficiency. The power socket systems can also be set-up to protect against any unauthorised use.
The Liebert GXT4 units are all equipped with a new user-friendly, multi-language and intuitive LCD interface for easy access to data. Combined with the oversight and management offered by Emerson Network Power’s monitoring software, including its LIFE™ remote diagnostic and preventive monitoring service, users may benefit from a variety of monitoring and configuration tools to allow preventive maintenance and manage operational performance.
“The Liebert GXT4 range is a natural evolution of our bestselling product family, the Liebert GXT3. The new model is able to deliver an unbeatable level of efficient and customizable power protection to support the growing needs of small-to-medium-sized businesses, ensuring that critical applications are always up and running,” said Tilo Kaschubek, director IT Channel for Emerson Network Power in EMEA. “Additionally, channel partners are able to deploy and install the units with ease thanks to the smart packaging design and lifting straps.
